Is there no point of reconcilliation on this!!??

(MIA turned off the TV and was back typing)
Hmm… so where was I.. Ah! I guess by now I can’t do much on the blog nowadays, since my rights were revoked. Actually it was me which I didn’t contribute much here which has caused this anyway.
Served me right. I really would like to apologise all Graffiti readers, as I really have not played my part enough to bring excitement to this blog.
So for starters, here’s the TOP 5 reason why I’m not blogging enough here:
TOP 5
Working as a project implementer and being on call as IT support, I have technically signed my life and soul to the organisation which serves call centers for regions around the globe.
TOP 4
Always being dragged into DotA games by peers (you know who you are), which sometimes cannot be resisted or denied. Resistance is futile! Play or die! – These are the warnings and stares I get if I suggest not to play.
TOP 3
Planning of some side businesses, as TOP 5 reason is not paying enough. Always thinking of ‘unique’ business ideas but no business partners to execute plan, which causes MIA to rethink of new plans to gain potential victims partners. Hehehe…
TOP 2
Being revoked of my rights as the co-owner of this blog, has caused severe trauma to the extend of not being able to visit Graffiti or type anything. Haunting visions of Graffiti (or Enigma… hehe) at night makes it even worse. So far I’m doing good… overcoming my fears here.
AND THE TOP 1 reason why I’m not blogging enough – Because Enigma blogs more than me, of course it’ll show me as blogging less lar.
Well, hopefully dudes and dudettes out there will accept my thousand apologies. I will try to dedicate my time here from now onwards – but no promises.
CHEERS!
To be honest, I can’t truly remember the first time I actually heard/saw the humorous character called ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ @ Steve Irwin. And throughout the years past, I admit to have taken only a fleeting fancy to Steve’s show’s on the telly. Sure I’d channel surf and stop on Animal Planet and lo and behold there was Steve and as usual he’d be sneaking up on some animal or reptile. Although I’ll admit to his bravery, I couldn’t believe anyone with enough common sense would be doing half the things Steve did.
However, now that I think back, I realize that all his exuberance, passion and even his unusual way of handling all these creatures was the driving factor behind his fame as The Crocodile Hunter. When I try to think what Steve has been able to impart to me, it boils down to the animals – the reptiles, insects, creepy-crawlies and all other manner of creatures on god’s green earth. Yes I can proudly say that Steve Irwin thought me to value and respect these creatures. I and probably countless millions around the globe have been given a rare gift, the gift of actually seeing the real nature and all it’s glorious creatures through the eyes of Steve – a man highly in-tune with mother nature.
Therefore, it came as a major blow to me when I heard of Steve’s death this past Monday. Yes, for those of you still living on the moon or under some rock who may have not heard, Steve Irwin the icon of nature enthusiast has departed from this world.
Now my intention of writing this post is not to dwell on his death, nor to recount it. No! Firstly, my reason has mostly to do with the fact that Steve’s passing did not hit me right off the bat. Truthfully, when I first heard the news my initial reaction was that – "Man! Steve’s gone. Well it was bound to happen sooner than later what with all the risk he takes" (Yeah, I can be a cold-blooded person sometimes, mostly that’s my logical side speaking). Then for the past one-and-half day since first learning of Steve’s demise, when I think back on it, I have come to realize just how much he had an effect on me. If it wasn’t for Steve I for one would have been more ignorant in regards to such wildlife as crocs, snakes and spiders. So for that little knowledge, I sincerely thank Steve from the bottom of my heart.
Secondly, today I read of a new development regarding Steve’s passing. According to Discovery Communications Inc. (Discovery Channel):
DCI will rename the garden space in front of Discovery’s world headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, the "Steve Irwin Memorial Sensory Garden."
and . . .
the creation of the Steve Irwin Crocodile Hunter Fund, which we’ll affectionately call "The Crikey Fund" to honor Steve’s passion and exuberance for conservation and the animal kingdom. This fund will allow people from across the globe to make contributions in Steve’s honor to support wildlife protection, education and conservation. The fund in addition to contributions by DCI will also aid Steve’s Australia Zoo in Breewah, Australia as well as educational support for Bindi and Bob Irwin
[ Steve is survived by his wife Terri, and children Bindi(8) and Bob(3). ]
So I urge you all, fellow readers of this post, if possible do contribute whatever you can to this fund, in memory of an icon among nature enthusiast. Let us make sure that the beacon lighted and carried by Steve Irwin in his lifetime is never forgotten and is forever shining – a reminder to us of a man who truly loved nature’s wildlife.
